The ESG Institute is a leading global sustainability organisation headquartered on the Isle of Man, operating across 70+ markets through a network of more than 500 subject-matter experts drawn from industry, finance, policy, academia, and consulting. We deliver sustainability education, professional certification, corporate accreditation, strategic advisory services, and practical sustainability solutions to professionals and organisations worldwide.

Education and Professional Certification

Our online training programmes equip professionals with the practical knowledge to implement environmental, social, and governance principles in real business environments. Current programmes include for example the Diploma in ESG Strategy, the Diploma in CSRD Compliance, the Diploma in Sustainable Finance, the Diploma in CBAM Regulation, the Diploma in UAE Climate Law, the Certificate in ESG Reporting, and the Diploma in Carbon Markets and Climate Finance. Programmes under development include for example the Diploma in Circular Economy, the Diploma in Sustainable Technology, and specialist qualifications in emerging sustainability regulation. All curricula are built around the frameworks and standards that professionals encounter in practice — including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the EU Taxonomy, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and international carbon market mechanisms. Our Leadership

The ESG Institute is led by its Executive Directors and Co-Founders, Dr. Jaime Amoedo and Joanne Thurlow.

Dr. Jaime Amoedo brings over 35 years of experience in international financial services, ESG strategy, and sustainable finance, with senior roles at HSBC, JP Morgan Chase, Ferrovial, and BNL-BNP Paribas, fintech leadership, and over a decade lecturing at university level.
